Serves: 14 skewers

Cook time: 30 min

Difficulty: easy
Ingredients

- 1 pound (16/20 count) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2–3 fully cooked sausages (e.g., smoked sausages)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Step-by-step
1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2
Slice the sausages into 0.5-inch (1.5 cm) thick rounds. Fully cooked smoked sausages work best, but feel free to use your favorite variety.

3
In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and vegetable oil. Toss well until all the shrimp are evenly coated.

4
Use about 15 skewers, each 4 inches (10 cm) long. Thread one sausage slice between the curve of each shrimp onto the skewer. Aim for two shrimp and two sausage slices per skewer, but adjust based on their sizes. If fitting two shrimp is difficult, use one shrimp per skewer and double the number of skewers accordingly.

5
Place the assembled skewers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

6
Remove from the oven and transfer the skewers to a serving platter. Serve warm with sweet red chili sauce or your favorite dip.
